Center Feed Indexing (CFI) Machine
Center Feed Indexing (CFI) Machine
This machine fully supports both door at a time, with true random length processing, as well as batch style production formats.
Barcode-driven setup, automatic length verification and automatic tool changes allow the cell to process random-length components at rates of up to eight pairs per minute.
- Infinite product lengths from 5″ – 63″ (Other Capacity Available)
- Automatic setup by barcode or cut list
- 4 Doors Per Minute
- 27′ x 27′ cell footprint
- Machine can be separated into rail end cope and stick profile if desired
- Tool changers optional
- Sound room optional
Tools ready when the profile changes
Automatic tool storage and changing allow the cell to accommodate a range of cabinet door profiles without depending on lengthy manual changeovers.
The CFI stores up to 12 tools and completes an automatic tool change in approximately 23 seconds. The sticker stores up to 24 tools with tool changes completed in approximately 8 seconds. Quick-change spindles operate at variable speeds up to 12,000 RPM.
CNC-controlled dual high-speed spindles produce tear-out-free profile cuts without backer blocks, removing another physical component that would otherwise need to be managed as door sizes and profiles change.
The Progressive CFI & Sticker Cell holds tolerances better than…
- Part-length accuracy within ยฑ0.005 inch
- Tenon-height accuracy within ยฑ0.005 inch
- Squareness within ยฑ0.005 inch over seven inches
- Sticker-groove-height accuracy within ยฑ0.005 inch
Designed Around Your Production Floor
The complete CFI and sticker cell requires an approximately 27-by-27-foot area, concentrating random-length processing, automatic setup and substantial tooling capacity within a relatively compact footprint.
Safety configurations can be selected to match the application and facility requirements. Available options include safety fencing, an interlocked sound room and trapped-key systems. The final configuration can be planned around the equipment layout, operator access and the safety requirements of the installation.
Tell us your cabinet door styles, component sizes, required profiles and production goals. Our team can help determine how the CFI could be configured around your operation.
